Mark Mc Cauley started his career as an international news cameraman for BBC Television. He covered many historical events including: Tiananmen Square, the fall of the Berlin Wall, the Siege of Sarajevo, Nelson Mandela’s election as well as many conflicts including the war in Iraq and Afghanistan. 
He left the BBC  to continue to pursue his passion for documentary film making. His work has garnered programme awards and nominations from BAFTA, Royal Television Society, Grierson Trust, Foreign Press Association London,Guild of TV Camera Professionals and the Rory Peck Trust Awards. He is enjoying a new focus working as a Director of Photography in Drama and scripted television.
